Well that flew by! Missy is still doing well and growing fast – already 4.5kg (10lbs) at her checkup. She’s feeding a lot at the moment, especially at night so i’m not really getting more than a couple of hours sleep at a time – hoping she grows out of this soon! I finally got to grips with the baby wrap I bought (a wrapsody bali breeze – made in bali, shipped to america, bought and shipped to my mum in UK, brought over to me in Bali – there’s globalization for you!) and she enjoys just sitting in there while i get on with stuff so i’m hoping i can start working again soon. We put some batteries in her bouncy chair to make it vibrate and she LOVES it. shame i can’t leave her in there overnight! Also got her to take some expressed milk from a bottle which she guzzled down so should be able to leave her with the grandparents for longer periods of time if necessary. She’s also started smiling at us sometimes and giggling which is really cute! Can’t wait till she is smiling all the time!

We still haven’t got her birth certificate as we were waiting for our family paper to come back from the village office so she technically doesn’t exist! but finally got that back today so we can get her registered and apply for her british passport.

My mum went back home on Saturday which is a shame as it was nice to have someone to babysit in the afternoons so i could get a nap! Took maya with us to say goodbye at the airport where she attracted quite a lot of attention (babies don’t usually go out of the house until they’re 3 months old in bali). She looked so serious strapped into her car seat like she was about to be blasted into space – wish i had a picture!
